Vintage 1960’s/1970’s Echte Tiroler Loden Coat
- This is a real Loden coat made in the Tirol region of Austria, right in the Alps. Loden is a type of wool fabric made exclusively in that area.
- Two outer pockets and two inner pockets
- Lined with plaid wool flannel and a polyester or nylon lining in the upper
- Three button closure
- The shearling collar feels like it could be synthetic, but it’s hard to say for certain
- There are some signs of wear and distressing, which can be seen in the photos, but it’s all aesthetic damage and none of it has affected the integrity of the garment. It’s a beautiful coat and I feel that this is a case where the distressing adds character.
